Maths Work

1. 64 divided by 4 =16
Split 64 into 40 and 24
40 divided 4= 10
24 divided by 4=6
10+6=16

2. 91 divided by 7=13
Split 91 into 70 and 21
70 divided by 7=10
12 divided by 7=3
10+3=13

3. 95 divided by 5 =19
Split 95 into 50 and 45
50 divided by 5 =10
45 divided by 5 =9
10+9 = 19

4. 78 divided by 6 = 13
Split 78 into 60 and 18
60 divided by 6= 10
18 divided by 6 = 3
10+3=1 3

5. 45 divided by 3 =15
Split 45 into 30 and 15
30 divided by 3 =10
15 divided 3 = 5
10+5=15

6. 96 divide by 8 = 12
Split into 80 and 16
80 divided by 8=10
16 divided by 8 = 2

Task 3 Word Problems

1. A bank teller has 85 one dollar coins which she must share equally between 5 bags. How many coins does she place in each bag? 17x5=85 answer 17
2. It takes 4 oranges to make a box of juice. if I had 52 oranges. how many boxes of juice could I make?.  52 Divided by 4 = 13
Split 52 into 40 and 12
40 divided by 4 =10
12 divided by 4=3
10+3 13

3. Adam picks 48 raspberries which he shared equally into 3 containers. How many raspberry did he put into each container. 48 divided by 3 = 16
3 Divided by 48 = 16

4. A tennis club has 96 tennis balls which is shared evenly between 6 teams. How many tennis balls do each team get. 96 divided by 6= 16
Split into 60 and 36
60 divided by 6 =10
36 divided by 6= 6
10+6=16

5. A supermarket received 98 cans of fizzy drinks which were packed equally between 7 boxes. How many cans of fizzy were in each box?. 98 Divided by 7 = 14
7 x 14 = 98


6. A shop has 48 soccer balls on display. They are displayed in 3 different containers which all hold the same number of soccer balls. How many balls must be in each container. 48 divided by 3=16    Same question different text.

7. A small shop receives 56 blocks of soap which  they sell in packs of 4. How many packages of soap do they have to sell? 56 divided by 4=  14      Split into 40 and 16
40 divided by 4 =10
16 divided by 4 = 4
10+4=14

8. Craig counts 38 shoes outside his classroom. How many pairs of shoes are there?
1\2 of 38 = 19

9. A school received 75 glue sticks which are delivered in 5 boxes. There are an equal number of glue sticks in each box. How many glue sticks must be in every box?. 75 Divided by 5 =
5 x 14 = 75
