Cross Country

On Thursday 22nd of August we had Cross Country.  A Cross Country it when you run either short distance or long distance. First up was the five year old boys. They went around the top field and round  half of the reserve. It must have been so tired when they finished and hot. My group was Mataatua( Green ). Our group came third to last. At least they tried.

When all the juniors were done it was the 9 year old boys turn. Mr. Burt put the siren on and they were off. The boys were gone in 1 second they were fast.
The first boy was in Tanui.

After a while it was our turn. I was so nervous me and Quasia ran together. Mr . Burt Told us where to go. When we started I was alright then after a while i was tired. My feet were really muddy and yuck.

After all me and Quasia crossed the line together. The first girl was Asena, Second was Kevine and third was Rebekah. Me and Quasia came third to last.

I was so PROUD of myself

This story is about an Emperor who was excessively fond of new clothes, that he spent all his money in dress. He did not care about his servants all he cared about was himself and how he looks. He will only go out to watch theatre or plays when he has the chance to show off. He had a different suit for each hour of the day.

The Moral of the story is Don't assume others are right simply because you perceive their status to be higher than yours. This means do not think you are better than everyone else.

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs

Once upon a time  in a great castle a King’s daughter grew up very happily. Her name was Snow White. She had hair as black night, lips as red as roses, skin as white as snow.  Snow White’s mother had died from an poisonous apple. The King had married another lady. This lady did not like Snow White at all.The stepmother was evil. She had a magic mirror and every day she went to it and said Mirror Mirror on the wall who’s the fairest of them all. The mirror replied you are my queen.

When Snow White grew up the evil stepmother hated her guts. The evil stepmother asked the mirror... Mirror Mirror on the wall  the fairest of them all. The mirror replied sorry to say but it is Snow White. The stepmother got furious and wanted Snow White dead. The stepmother sent one of her servants to take Snow White out to the forest. The servant did as he was told.

Night came and the servant did not return for Snow White. The stepmother had also told the servant to cut her head off and bring it to her. The servant did not want to kill Snow White so he got a pumpkin and some hay and decorate it to look like Snow White. Snow White had wandered around and soon found a small cottage. The cottage was a mess so Snow White cleaned it up. After cleaning up Snow White felt hungry. Snow White looked in the fridge and found some bread.

Back at the Castle the stepmother got the pumpkin head and went to ask the mirror... Mirror Mirror on the wall who’s the fairest of them all. The mirror replied  Snow White it still the fairest of them all.  Snow White it in a cottage in a cottage that belongs to seven Dwarfs.  The stepmother got furious and wanted Snow White dead. The stepmother made a potion and put the potion in a apple. She made herself an old woman.

Snow White was tired after the bread and she went upstairs and took a nap. The owners of the cottage where home. They were seven Dwarfs. The seven Dwarfs were surprised to find  their home clean. They all went upstairs and to their surprise they found a wonderful girl.

Snow White was told to not open the door for strangers. Later on an old lady came to gave Snow white an apple. It was the stepmother. The stepmother gave Snow White the poisonous apple and Snow White collapsed on the floor. When the dwarfs got home they saw Snow White on the floor they put her in a glass coffin and they went out to put her down.  They left her in the forest and then a prince came by and opened the lid of the coffin. The prince kissed Snow White and Snow white woke up. The Prince put her on his horse and they rode off together.

Hansel and Gretel Writing

Once upon a time in a dark forest there was a cottage. In that cottage there was a family. There was Hansel who  is the a boy who always looked after his sister who cries alot. Gretel is a girl who can cry easily. But at the end of this story it all changed. There was a woodcutter who was there father which was a easy man to persuade..There was an self centered Stepmother who had a problems with Hansel and Gretel and wanted to get rid of them.

The Step Mother thought that their was too  many mouths to feed so she nagged her husband to take Hansel and Gretel miles away from  the cottage. Luckily Hansel overheard their conversation  and went out and filled his pockets with white pebbles then went back to sleep.

The next day the father took his kids out to the forest and abandoned them. Remember Hansel filled his pockets with white pebbles. Hansel had left a trail and when moonlight hit they saw the white pebbles and followed them back. The Stepmother saw that the kids were back and she nagged her husband to take them out again. All they had for dinner was bread. Hansel did not eat his bread.

The next day the father took his kids out to the forest and abandoned them. Hansel noticed and he left a trail for them to get back forgetting about all the hungry birds in the forest. When their father left them they noticed that the breadcrumbs were gone. Gretel started to cry. Hansel said”Don’t be scared  Gretel I am here” Gretel quietly sobbed. They wandered around the forest and soon they found a house made out of candy.

They were eating the house to bits when a witch came out and captured them in cages. The Witch liked to bake kids and she eats them. Hansel got trapped in the cage and Gretel was told to clean up. This is the part where Gretel gets brave. The witch had bad eyesight from when she was a childhood. Gretel grab some butter and smeared it all over the witches glasses. Gretel pushed Hansel out of the way and pushed the witch in the oven. A few minutes later  their father came to get them because the police had rung them and told them everything that happened. To their surprise the Stepmother died by no food.
